Poor sleeping habits

Poor sleeping habits comprise of the irregular timing to fall asleep or try to sleep. The irregularity in sleeping habits comes from the poor lifestyle habits that we adopt unknowingly and keep on repeating these habits. People having irregular sleeping schedules suffer the most from insomnia as it delays the production of melatonin in the body. Moreover, stimulating activities before sleeping, mid-evening naps, and an uncomfortable sleeping environment can also cause insomnia.

Sometimes if there are any guests in the house, you are not able to sleep because of the disturbances in your routine. Working from your bed and staying up too late for the work also affects your sleep-wake cycle, making you an insomniac. Too much noise or too much lighting in the bedroom can also make you sleepless, as you are not comfortable in your bed. Late-night eating and watching movies for entertainment can also deprive you of the sleep that you need. The use of gadgets like a smartphone or video games in the bedtime interferes with your sleep. For this reason, the doctors suggest limiting the use of any screen when you are lying down for getting sleep.
