Light therapy

Light therapy or light exposure is part of the sleep treatment plans at many sleep clinics, but you can try this at home too. In this therapy, you can make your room light by switching on all the lights and make it a bright place for you. Sunny light exposure makes the body produce more melatonin. The melatonin signals the body to sleep at that time, thus helping the people with insomnia and other sleep disorders like sleep-phase syndrome. Light therapy also makes the body wake up at regular types. Therefore, your body starts synchronizing with sleeping and waking up at regular times. Try to stay in the light exposure room for at least thirty minutes daily to have a sound sleep and wake cycle. Try to walk daily first thing in the morning to avail of the bright sunlight.
