Risk factors of Insomnia

Every person from any life span can have occasional episodes of sleeplessness, which makes you stressed and unhappy. Insomnia can happen at any time of your life while you are doing well in life, but some individuals are at higher risk of getting some type of insomnia. Some of the risk factors for getting insomnia are:

Irregular schedule:

If the person is having frequent changes in his or her working shifts or is traveling, and the sleep-wake cycle is not regular, then that person is more likely to get insomnia. The sleep hormones keep on secreting by the brain, and the person is not able to sleep due to the work or travel; then, there comes a time the sleep hormone is no more secreting. The irregular timings of getting to sleep disturb the sleep-wake cycle so severely that the brain finds it difficult to give you healthy sleep.
