Hyperacusis
Although the intensity of tinnitus sounds varies from person to person, but hyperacusis can transform soft tinnitus signals into a high intensive sound which causes pain. 86% of the tinnitus people also have hyperacusis. It is believed that tinnitus increases the auditory sensitivity, which causes pain. Hyperacusis is a condition where the ears become sensitive to soft sounds. Such people start fearing even normal sounds and become angry and depress at their situation.
